For publishers & partners

Embed a free flooring-cost estimator.

A lightweight, no-signup widget your readers can use in-context. One iframe snippet, no JavaScript to maintain, and a single visible attribution link back to CalculateFlooring.com.

This is exactly what your readers will see

The live, interactive widget below is the same artifact the snippet embeds. Try it: change the square footage, flooring type, and state.

Dimensions & responsiveness

Sizing guidance

Default

480 Ă— 640

Polished on desktop sidebars and article inlays.

Responsive

100% width

The snippet uses width:100% with a 480px max, so it shrinks for mobile.

Minimum

~320 Ă— 620

Renders cleanly in a phone-width column. Keep height ≥ 620px.

The snippet is script-free: it is a plain <iframe>, so it works in editors that block custom JavaScript. The widget loads only the fonts and (optionally) the site's own analytics — never ads inside your page and never a third-party tracker you did not approve.

Attribution (required)

Keep the “Powered by” link visible

The widget always renders a visible “Powered by CalculateFlooring.com”attribution that links to the full calculator. That link must stay visible and unmodified. Hiding or removing it voids the free embed. We never ask you to pay for the widget, and we never ask you to disguise the attribution as something it isn't.

Methodology & limitations

What the number is — and isn't

  • Modeled, not surveyed. The estimate multiplies a national-average installed price range (material + labor) for the chosen flooring type by the project size, then applies a regional cost factor when a state is selected. It is not a database of real contractor bids.
  • A range, not a quote. The widget shows a low and high installed estimate. It is not a bid, quote, or guarantee, and it is not a substitute for a local written estimate.
  • Excludes extras. Removal, subfloor prep, stairs, transitions, trim, and haul-away are not included. Real totals are usually higher.
  • Traceable data. National ranges come from src/lib/flooring-data.ts and regional multipliers from src/lib/state-pricing-data.ts (BLS regional price parities 2025, CostPrism 2026), reviewed June 2026. See the full cost-by-state report.

Frequently asked questions

Does the widget require a signup, login, or any personal information?

No. The widget asks only for project square footage, a flooring type, and an optional U.S. state. There are no name, email, or phone fields, and nothing is resold. It is free to embed and free for your readers to use.

How is the cost estimate calculated?

The widget multiplies a national-average installed price range (material + labor, per square foot) for the selected flooring type by the project size, then applies a regional cost multiplier if a state is selected. Both the national ranges and the state multipliers come from CalculateFlooring's published pricing dataset, reviewed in June 2026.

Is the estimate a contractor quote?

No. It is a clearly-labeled modeled range (a low and high installed estimate), not a bid or guarantee. Removal, subfloor prep, stairs, trim, and haul-away are not included. Readers should confirm real pricing with local written bids.

Do I have to keep the attribution?

Yes. The widget displays a visible 'Powered by CalculateFlooring.com' attribution and a link to the full calculator. That attribution must remain visible and unmodified in any embed; hiding or removing it voids the free embed.

Can I change the size of the widget?

Yes. The default snippet renders at 480px wide and 640px tall and is responsive down to mobile widths. You can adjust the width and height attributes, but keep the iframe tall enough (about 620–680px) so the inputs, estimate, and attribution are visible without internal scrolling.

Try the full calculator.

The widget is a quick estimate. The full calculator adds multi-room projects, waste factors, accessories, stairs, and a fair-price check.
